APPOINTMENTS - telephone 01989 563646

Our surgery and clinic times are by appointment only. Please book in advance if possible. If you need an urgent appointment, please tell the receptionist this. Our receptionists are on duty from 8.00am to 6.00pm.

We provide general surgeries for doctors and practice nurses, and daily health care assistant clinics for blood tests, blood pressure, etc. We also have weekly ante-natal and post-natal clinics, and a range of specialist clinics.

A considerable number of appointments are wasted when patients fail to attend (over 1,000 in the previous 12 months) - please let us know if you cannot attend so that we may offer the appointment to another patient.

he government has set targets for access to doctor and nurse appointments. These are for an appointment with a nurse within
24 hours, and for an appointment with a doctor within 48 hours, and we consistently meet these targets.

You can book general appointments (with the doctors only) via the internet. If you are not registered for this service already, contact reception for further details

Our Health Care Assistants are fully trained in a range of duties.

These include Phlebotomy (blood taking), ECGs, and blood pressure monitoring. They also assist both the doctors and the nurses when required.

For some tests it may be necessary for you to attend a morning clinic, but most blood tests can now be taken at any time of day, except on Fridays when they must be taken before 9.30am.
